What You'll be Doing?
As the Cardiac Liaison Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients presenting to the Emergency Department with chest pain or suspected cardiac conditions. You'll coordinate timely assessment, treatment, admission, or follow-up through the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic, ensuring patients receive appropriate investigations and care, including stress testing and ongoing clinical review. Working as part of a supportive and collaborative cardiology team, you'll partner with Cardiac Nurses and Cardiologists, the Demand Management Unit, Emergency Department staff, and primary care providers to ensure seamless transitions of care and timely management. You'll also contribute to quality improvement activities and data collection to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes across the cardiac care pathway.

How to Apply

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post‐registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the position specified post‐graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Describe your experience in the assessment and management of patients presenting with acute chest pain and/or other suspected cardiac conditions.
- This role includes performing and coordinating cardiac stress testing within the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic. Please outline your experience and competency in stress testing and related cardiac diagnostics.
- Provide an example of how you have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to improve cardiac patient flow, care coordination, or outcomes across acute and outpatient settings.
