This position has responsibility for co-ordinating the delivery of hotel services for St Helens Hospital and Community Health Services. This includes: • Preparing and producing all food and nutritional requirements for patients and staff at the St. Helens Hospital and delivered meal recipients.• Providing supervision and direction to a small team of catering, cleaning and home help support staff.• Monitoring the use and storage of food, perishable goods and other consumables. Liaise with the Administrative Officer in the purchasing of materials and ensure that items are stored and used in accordance with current workplace safety and Foodsafe guidelines.• Providing assessment of home help service requirements for clients referred to the Home Help Service. Contribute to and participate in the Hospital's Quality Improvement and Consumer Safety program and attend and/or organize and/or chair team meetings as required.

The Team:

Located on the stunning East Coast of Tasmania, St. Helens District Hospital has Tasmania's busiest rural emergency department, with an increase in emergency presentations during peak tourist season from December until April. The hospital provides a fast-paced environment that delivers high quality patient centred care. The Role:

Responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of hotel services for St Helens Hospital and Community Health Services including -

* Preparing and producing all food and nutritional requirements for patients and staff at the St. Helens Hospital and delivered meal recipients.
* Providing supervision and direction to a small team of catering, cleaning and home help support staff.
* Design, implement and oversee systems for catering, cleaning and home help services

Details of appointment:

* Permanent part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

* Employees employed at the following Remote site will be paid a Remote and Rural allowance of 4% of base Salary.
