Intake and Brief Intervention Coordinator - headspace
Position: Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist – Grade 2
Hours: 64 hours per fortnight
Type: Part Time, Max Term – May 2025 – December 2026

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention and support for young people aged 12-25. Make a meaningful impact within this innovative national network.
Applications are invited from qualified Allied Health Professionals interested in working within the headspace team at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver mental health interventions to young people
2. Providing inclusive, culturally sensitive, and welcoming interventions
3. Coordinating intake screenings, risk assessments, and brief interventions for referrals
4. Supporting administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, screening referrals, and managing appointments
5. Participating in supervision and case review meetings
Qualifications/experience required:
1. Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
2. Current registration with the relevant governing body
3. Experience in Youth Mental Health is preferred
4. Qualification in Single Session and/or Brief Intervention
5. Training in clinical risk assessment and management
