Good Food Exports Pty Ltd is an established, growing food company specializing in the export of premium chilled, frozen and ambient foods to overseas markets.
About the role:
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Picker/Packer + Stock Controller to join our friendly team and work onsite from our Tullamarine location.
This role is long-term, secure and stable for the right applicant.
Days & hours:
* Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri (4 days)
* 7:00am to 2:00 - 3:00pm (approx hrs)
* Permanent/Part-Time
* Hours may vary slightly during the year due to seasonal demand
Key responsibilities:
* Reports to Operations Manager
* Responsible for receiving, unpacking and checking all incoming goods, and immediately communicating any discrepancies.
* Stock rotation, ensuring first in-first out.
* Pick, pack, prepare and label customer orders.
* Heavy lifting involved (approx. 20kg max).
* Chiller and freezer work involved (freezer gear supplied)
* Coordinate with freight providers to ensure timely deliveries.
* Coordinate and communicate closely with our external team to ensure correct stock allocations and all daily tasks are completed.
* Maintain accurate stock records in internal systems.
* Maintain basic HACCP food safety records (training provided).
* Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
* Organise and prepare sample shipments for customers.
* Perform scheduled stocktakes and reconcile discrepancies.
* Keep the warehouse tidy, safe and well organized.
* Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day warehouse and logistics tasks.
What we're looking for:
* Strong warehousing experience.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
* A proactive, reliable team player with a "can do" attitude.
* Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written (including use of emails and WhatsApp).
* Experience with stock management systems.
