What You'll Do
You'll oversee the day-to-day management of the Support Office finance function, providing guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.
You'll maintain strong financial controls, monitor cash flow, manage banking and credit card processes, and oversee insurances.
You'll ensure accounting records—including nominal ledgers, restricted and designated funds, and the fixed asset register—are accurate and up to date.
You'll monitor Accounts Receivable and project finances to ensure timely funding and project success.
Your role will also involve producing high-quality financial reports, supporting audits, reviewing monthly management accounts, and leading the annual budgeting process for support departments in the region.
You'll act as a trusted advisor to programme finance staff, provide targeted training, and deputise for the Regional Finance Manager when required.
Through it all, you'll model MAF's Christian values and participate in the spiritual life of the organisation, joining in prayer, reflection, and fellowship while supporting your team to do the same.

Qualifications and Experience
Graduate-level, internationally recognised accounting qualification
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or related finance roles
At least 3 years' experience managing a finance team
Strong background in budgeting, management accounts, and finance business partnering
Knowledge of charity or corporate legislation, internal controls, and accounting policies
Experience working in multi-cultural teams; mission experience desirable

Able to focus on detail while maintaining a strategic perspective
Collaborative, flexible, and able to balance multiple priorities without losing sight of policy or objectives
