**Job Title:** Senior Support Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Specialist to join our early intervention team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting families facing complex challenges related to substance use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective support plans to enable individuals to access relevant services and interventions.
* Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to provide comprehensive assessments and develop recovery plans.
* Provide tailored brief interventions, including harm reduction advice, and signpost individuals to local support services.
* Work closely with MASH staff to provide training and advice on drug and alcohol awareness, screening, and referral pathways.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to ensure effective service delivery.
* Conduct thorough assessments and develop recovery plans that address substance use and reintegration into the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
* Experience of working with clients with complex physical and/or mental health needs, including co-morbidity.
* Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
* Able to communicate effectively, calmly, and professionally with individuals and teams.
