**Brand Manager - Rheumatology**

**POSITION PURPOSE**

Rheumatologic diseases are chronic diseases and the rheumatology therapy market is highly competitive and increasingly complex for customers and patients to navigate.

Lilly must continually demonstrate the value proposition of its therapy options for customers including Rheumatologists. This requires clarity of messaging, deliberate focus and flawless in field execution to drive consistent and positive changes in attitudes and behaviours around suitable treatments for people living with Rheumatological disease.

Lilly's Immunology portfolio represents a significant commercial contribution to the Australian and New Zealand affiliate. The primary responsibility of this role will be to drive and deliver exceptional business results. The measure of success will be the ability to establish each individual product as prescribers' preferred treatment option in its class.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the local Australian Rheumatology market including current and future competitor offerings, strategy and potential impacts (upside and downside).
- Gain patient and HCP insights into Rheumatology treatment options and commercial insight into relevant competitors and market dynamics.
- Utilise these patient, customer and commercial insights to contribute to the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for our Rheumatology portfolio indications.
- Build and sustain relationships with key thought leaders and advocacy groups in Australia.
- Play an active role in the core brand team, working effectively with cross-functional team members from medical, sales, regulatory, market access and corporate affairs, finance and market research.
- Partner with and support Senior Brand and Brand Managers within the relevant Lilly Immunology portfolio to ensure best practices are shared and leveraged across the portfolio.
- Engage and motivate the Rheumatology sales teams and equip them with the necessary strategies and tools to deliver tailored value propositions and customer solutions.
- Provide clear guidance and direction to cross functional stakeholders including sales teams in order to achieve operational objectives including customer satisfaction, sales, OPEX & inventory management.
- Ensure all materials and promotional campaigns are aligned to Good Promotional Practices including adherence to Lilly internal policies and procedures and the Australian Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (latest edition) and New Zealand Code of Practice (latest edition).
- Work with external agencies to develop creative marketing campaigns, materials and education programs that align with the relevant brand guidelines and clearly and consistently express the brand essence and intent.

**KEY COMPETENCIES & SELECTION CRITERIA**

**_ Qualifications: _**

A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, science or nursing.

- Leadership skills (particularly in cross functional collaboration, decision making and leading without authority)
- Superior analytical, planning and organising skills
- Must be able to inspire, engage and lead a diverse group of people across multiple stakeholder (internal and external) and customer groups

- Expertise in influencing and negotiation
- Financial analysis and forecasting expertise

- Prior pharmaceuticals product launch experience

**_
Prior Knowledge or Experience:_**
- Pharmaceutical marketing experience across GP and or specialty prescription products; 3+ years of broad experience in marketing roles within pharmaceuticals
- Understanding and experience of strategic planning (customer insights, patient journey, segmentation, positioning, branding, messaging, results monitoring)
- Cross-functional partnering capabilities, particularly with Medical and PRA
- Demonstrated strengths in financial and commercial business acumen including forecasting, analytics and contracting.
- Clear understanding of the promotional rules of engagement and how we communicate with our customers
- Experience in Rheumatology therapeutic area and/or Specialty care will
