About the role As Category Manager - hard vegetables and potatoes, you will have full accountability of the P&L of a portfolio of products across our Fresh Produce business and will develop a winning category strategy to implement across our stores.Reporting to the role is a National Category Buyer, who will support you in the day-to-day management of the role as you focus on landing your longer-term strategy. Utilising your strategic skills, you will identifygrowth opportunities within your category and partner with suppliers andinternal stakeholders to deliver a point of difference for our customer base and increase our sharewithin the market.From grassroots farms to private suppliers, you will partner with the best growers all over Australia to deliver your strategy in over 800 stores across Australia as well as meeting some of the most amazing characters and incredible locations during your travels.You'll also:Drive results and performance of your categoriesWork cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, Transformation and StrategyExecute our customer-centric strategy for your categoriesto shape a legacy for the futureDrive innovation within the category, working closely with the broader Coles MerchandiseteamBuild strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, using your negotiation and influencing skills to drive the direction of the category About you and your skills In this role you will be able to utilise your experience in understanding market share gaps and helping to develop and implement a market leading plan across this portfolio. Well-developed stakeholder management skills will be key to the success of this role.You will also have: Demonstrated Category Management and/or Merchandise experience within a retail environment.Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinking with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment.Proven ability to champion and drive change and continuous improvement.Strong commercial acumen Customer first approach Please note that applications will close on Friday 23rd May 2025.
