We are seeking a highly experienced Administration Officer to join our friendly Bookings and Admissions team.
The role is responsible for the coordination of patient elective surgical admissions, providing a first class customer service to attending and departing patients, meeting and greeting including all general administrative duties.
The Administration Officer will ensure the reception desk is kept tidy, presentable and is attended to at all times. Ensure all patients attended to in a timely manner.
The role of the Administration Officer is to work as part of the health care team, adhere to Healthscope and NBH policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
- Broad administration experience, with proven ability to work effectively and manage workloads
- Fluency in English with ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a wide variety of people, both internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
- Understanding of medical terminology would be an advantage
- Intermediate skills in IT systems, in particular MSOffice and databases
- Desirable experience of inpatient management systems e.g. WebPAS
- Understanding of, and commitment to, providing excellent customer service and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to learn and perform new tasks quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Commitment to ensuring high level of service is delivered at all times.
