**About the Role**
You will work closely with business areas and finance managers to strategically manage administered resources, improve financial reporting accuracy and accessibility, and build strong relationships across the Agency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with team members to consolidate Administered financials
- Reviewing and analysing consolidated data and investigating any discrepancies
- Reconciling data from different Financial Management Information Systems to ensure data integrity
- Monitoring budget measures and movements to ensure consistency with agreements made with the Department of Finance
- Preparing month-end reporting packages and dashboard views
- Providing technical support to Finance Managers
- Assisting Finance Managers with data management and driving improvements
- Conducting trend analysis and phasing of annual appropriations
- Completing ad hoc tasks as assigned by managers (e.g. preparing templates and data for Senate Estimates)
High-performing APS5s are also encouraged to apply.
**Your Skills and Experience**:
- You need to have a background in finance-related roles. Finance/Accounting qualifications are ideal but not essential
- You have initiative, proactive problem-solving skills, and an ability to think laterally
- Highly experienced in data management and data analysis
- Systems experience in Power BI, SAP, and TechOne is ideal
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
