Overview
Our Senior HR Advisor proactively partners with business leaders, delivering contemporary and strategic HR support across the full employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, employee relations, and industrial relations. This role leads case management, including disciplinary and grievance processes, and provides expert advice on performance management, fitness for work, and organisational design. It also manages union right of entry and contributes to collective bargaining negotiations.
This role contributes to the development, implementation and review of policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislation and organisational goals. Our Senior HR Advisor builds strong stakeholder relationships, and develops leadership capability across the organisation in collaboration with departments and our Learning and Development team.
Responsibilities
* Lead case management, including disciplinary and grievance processes, and provide expert advice on performance management, fitness for work, and organisational design.
* Manage union right of entry and contribute to collective bargaining negotiations.
* Contribute to the development, implementation and review of policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legislation and organisational goals.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and develop leadership capability across the organisation in collaboration with departments and the Learning and Development team.
Qualifications and Skills
* Confident and experienced HR professional with a strong foundation in case management and workplace investigations.
* Experience in attraction and retention, recruitment, and leadership development.
* Ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with fairness, discretion, and sound judgment.
* Understanding of employment law and industrial instruments to provide accurate and compliant advice.
* Ideally experience with collective bargaining and working with unions.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, engage stakeholders at all levels, and influence outcomes through collaboration and credibility.
* Passion for developing leadership and HR capability; experience mentoring others.
* Knowledge and experience in recruitment is advantageous for potential support of recruitment strategies in collaboration with the recruitment team.
* Required clearances including Medical and National Police Clearance.
