Are you a seasoned hospitality professional with strong leadership and financial acumen? INNOVA Warrnambool is seeking a Motel Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of our newly branded and refurbished 64 room motel & conference space.
About the Role:
As the Motel Venue Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, overseeing financial and operational activities, managing staff performance, and driving business growth. You will lead a motivated team to optimise efficiency, enhance revenue opportunities, and uphold compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales- Deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act on customer feedback to continuously improve service standards.
- Maximise sales opportunities, stock audits, and forecasting.
Financial Control & Stock Management- Oversee all financial aspects, including sales, profitability, stock control, wages, and expenditure.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, investigate discrepancies, and maintain security.
- Conduct timely stock counts, order management, and wastage reporting.
- Implement stock rotation, storage security, and loss prevention measures.
Managing Staff- Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to perform at the highest standards.
- Identify training needs, conduct development programs, and manage staff performance.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, and personnel management.
- Maintain proper staffing levels and implement effective communication strategies.
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) & Compliance
- Manage maintenance issues and third-party contractors, ensuring high standards.
- Oversee licensing, data protection, and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure security staff are recruited and managed effectively.
- Implement and communicate fire evacuation procedures.
Reporting & Budgeting
- Compile and submit detailed weekly and monthly reports.
- Oversee budgeting, wage forecasting, and expense management.
