This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Manager, Procurement Operations is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient procurement activities, focusing on system optimization, supplier management, and adherence to procurement policies. You will lead and coordinate teams, managing daily operations to ensure productivity and alignment with departmental goals. Specifics include: • Execute procurement activities, including supplier management and maintaining procurement systems • Monitor and report on procurement financial controls and track performance metrics • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures • Support the integration of new procurement tools and systems into operations • Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure service delivery • Prepare regular procurement reports and provide insights into spend and savings • Contribute to procurement process improvements and automation efforts • Set clear objectives and strategy for a team to achieve goals by planning, directing work, and coaching and developing associates Education: • Bachelor Degree in relevant background Work Experience: • 7 Years relevant experience required in Manufacturing healthcare industry. • Experience using SAP ERP and/or SAP BI preferred • Supply Chain certification (e.g. APICS CPIM, CSCP etc.) preferred • Strong knowledge of Excel, and MS is essential • Possess good interpersonal skills, with team player spirit • Ability to work independently, organized, and good time management with tight timescales • Analytical, and ability to mitigate risk • Good communication and negotiation skills All applicants need to have full Australian work rights.
