Your Opportunity
As the Induction Officer you will be responsible for the following duties and tasks:
* Conducting employer and apprentice/trainee inductions into various qualifications offered by TAFE Queensland SkillsTech under the User Choice agreement.
* Completing legislative and business tasks such as negotiating training plans, maintaining apprentice/trainee training records, and conducting Employer Resource Assessments.
* Developing and maintaining key client relationships and industry links to support the position of SkillsTech as the training provider of choice for trade and technical training.
This position reports to the Operational Supervisor, AMA.
This is a temporary, full‐time opportunity, until 12 March 2027 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Acacia Ridge; however, you may be required to work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate and conduct face‐to‐face inductions for apprentices/trainees, ensuring all training, legislative and business requirements are met and that KPIs are maintained.
* Utilise a range of software applications, databases and student management systems to complete inductions accurately and efficiently.
* Provide support and guidance to employers and apprentices/trainees on meeting statutory training obligations.
* Acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with TAFE Queensland's statutory obligations regarding Pre‐qualified Supplier and ASQA.
* Liaise with TAFE Queensland, industry, employers and community, providing accurate advice to clients and management about programs and services.
* Support continuous business improvement by contributing to the development and implementation of internal quality system procedures and documentation.
* Ensure quality policies and procedures are followed and that relevant documentation is completed to standard.
* Participate in local Performance Planning and Development processes, seeking opportunities for self‐development and supporting the team through knowledge sharing.

How You Will Be Assessed
* Proven knowledge and understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system and TAFE Queensland SkillsTech objectives.
* Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant training legislation, regulations and guidelines, and capability to meet business objectives and client expectations.
* Proven problem‐solving skills and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to meet KPIs.
* Collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective relationships in a legislative and priority‐driven environment.
* High‐level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively and tailor communication styles for diverse audiences.
Mandatory Requirements
* Current valid Open 'C' class driver's licence.
