A respected Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced APS6 Senior Procurement Officer to step into a pivotal role supporting end‐to‐end procurement and contract management activities. With flexible engagement types available, this opportunity is ideal for procurement professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in a small agency environment.
Your new role
Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the agency's procurement and grant processes are compliant, efficient and strategically aligned. You'll partner with teams across the organisation to guide them through procurement best practice and deliver high quality commercial outcomes.
In this role, you will provide timely procurement advice to project teams to support ethical, efficient and compliant purchasing. Help craft procurement strategies that drive value for money, prepare and manage market approaches, including: drafting procurement and request documents, coordinating panels and supplier communications, managing supplier queries, collecting quotes, tenders and evaluating responses, drafting contracts and supporting ongoing contract management and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong experience in government procurement, ideally at APS6 level or equivalent
* Solid knowledge of Commonwealth procurement frameworks and processes
* Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement capability
* Desirable: Certificate IV in Procurement & Contracting
