We are seeking a motivated and experienced Food Services Supervisor (Food Monitor) to join our Food Services Department on a part-time basis (40 hours per fortnight). Reporting to the Food Services Coordinator, this pivotal role oversees meal service operations while leading a dedicated team of Food Service Assistants. You will ensure the safe, efficient and patient-centred delivery of meals, coordinating dietary requirements and supporting clinical teams to meet individual nutrition and texture needs through the Chefmax Menu Management Program.
This position suits a confident and organised leader with strong communication and team-building skills. You will liaise closely with nursing staff, dietitians and speech pathologists to ensure patients and residents receive meals aligned with their dietary requirements and preferences. With a strong focus on food safety, compliance and continuous improvement, you will foster a supportive team culture while driving excellence in service delivery and safe work practices.

Roster – 40 Hours per Fortnight
This position operates on a rotating four-week roster as outlined below:
Week 1 (Fortnight 1)
* Thursday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
Week 2 (Fortnight 1)
* Thursday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
* Saturday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
* Sunday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
Week 3 (Fortnight 2)
* Thursday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
Week 4 (Fortnight 2)
* Thursday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
* Saturday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
* Sunday: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
This structured roster provides consistency while requiring flexibility to support operational needs, including coverage of absences where required.
Our preferred candidate will have:
* Safe Food Handlers Certificate – Do food safely or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a supervisory role.
* Previous customer service experience.
* Experience and proficiency in computer usage.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
* Previous administration experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within the health or hospitality industries.
* Previous food monitoring experience.
IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
