Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency. They have an exciting prospect available for a Project Officer to join the Market Stewardship & Home Living Group in ensuring the effective management of the Partners in the Community and Stewardship of the provider market, including setting the strategic direction for Home & Living services for the scheme.
APS5 Labour Hire hourly rate contract spanning an initial 12 months with the strong possibility of extension. Hourly rate on offer is $55.24 + Super. To be based out of our client's Geelong location.
This contract will be within a hybrid environment, with 2 days working from home, and expected 37.5-hour weeks.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Performing research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
- Contributing to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Assisting with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Assisting with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve program, project and business outcomes.

- Developing and managing project plans in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Coordinating project reporting including assessment of risks and issues, progress updates, and tracking against project benefits.
- Undertaking a range of stakeholder engagement activities.
- Performing independent research and analysis work.
- Preparing written material
