The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Systems Administrators, Systems Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers with deep expertise in Microsoft/Windows platforms and VMware virtualisation.
You will design, support, and optimise secure enterprise infrastructure systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance within highly classified environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and enterprise Microsoft services
* Manage and maintain VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, ESXi hosts, clusters, and virtual environments
* Perform patching, upgrades, hardening, and lifecycle management of Windows and VMware platforms
* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across compute, storage, networking, and virtualisation layers
* Ensure adherence to ASD ISM, Defence security requirements, and ICT compliance standards
* Produce clear technical documentation, system designs, and operational procedures
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable systems
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers when required
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong hands-on experience administering Windows Server and core Microsoft infrastructure
* Solid VMware experience - vSphere, ESXi, vCenter (NSX-T or vSAN beneficial but not mandatory)
* Knowledge of storage, networking, and virtualisation architecture
* Experience supporting secure environments, ideally Defence or Federal Government
* Familiarity with automation or scripting tools (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform - advantageous)
* Strong communication and documentation skills
Education & Certifications (Highly Regarded)
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
* Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, AZ-104, etc.)
* VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP preferred)
