The Perioperative Service Manager will play a pivotal role providing leadership, management and coordination of Waikiki Private Hospital Perioperative Services, comprising of two theatres, Endoscopy procedure room and the Endoscopy reprocessing services. The primary focus for this role will be leading best practice outcomes for key stakeholders, achieving and providing excellence, delivering patient centred care and building a team focused culture.
The Position
Responsible and accountable for the financial outcomes of the perioperative services, achieving performance targets and demonstrating effective stewardship of resources
Demonstrate and encourage critical thinking and problem solving.
Always strives for excellence be actively involved in the development and implementation of clinical governance and risk management.
Be an influential role model for excellent customer service.
Develop and implement a recruitment, retention and succession plan for Perioperative Services.
Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders, building strong relationships.
Demonstrate a positive and consultative approach towards managing change.
Demonstrate creative and innovative leadership, with the ability to promote effective team building strategies.
Be a positive role model for the team whilst fostering a culture that is positive and forward thinking.
Monitor and ensure compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements within the perioperative setting.
You will have well developed leadership and communication skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving with the ability to build positive working relationships with clinical teams, medical practitioners and other key stakeholders. You will demonstrate a commitment to quality improvements and the ACHS accreditation process. With a clear understanding of Human Resource Principles.
To succeed you will hold current registration with AHPRA, as a registered nurse with significant perioperative experience and exceptional clinical knowledge.
