We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented mechanical assemblers to join our production team, here in Tennyson.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
* Assembly of mechanical and electronic modules
* Assembly and testing of high-volume build to print units for production and prototypes
* Basic testing of circuit functionality
* Use hand and power tools to assemble components according to engineering specifications and assembly instructions
* Follow the EM Solutions Quality & WHS Procedures
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of assembly methods and processes
About you:
* Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing or similar
* Aptitude to work in strict accordance with technical instructions, drawings, documented methods and processes
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Commitment to workplace safety
* Reliable and good time management
* Proficiency with hand and power tools
* Ability to remain standing for prolonged periods
Desirable but not essential:
* Previous experience in mechanical and/or electronics module assembly
* Electronic cable manufacturing experience
* IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883 or equivalent certification will be highly regarded
