Company Description Inspectsy is a fast-moving startup with two core products. We built 'Inspectsy', a remote inspection tool for property managers that is currently active in the market. Now, we are expanding with a second product: a high-growth AI email prioritisation tool designed to automate inbox management for high-volume professionals.
We have hit a critical inflection point: we have secured 10 paid deposits for the new email product before launch. We are not just looking for an employee; we are looking for a technical partner to bring our development in-house, stabilise our offshore code, and build a scalable foundation for this next phase of growth.
Role Description This is a Co-Founder / CTO role (Equity Heavy). While we are based in Melbourne, we are flexible with remote work for the right partner.
You will not just be "managing" a team; you will be the lead builder. We have an MVP built by an offshore team, but we need a technical leader to take full ownership of the codebase, architecture, and roadmap. You will work directly with the Founding CEO (who handles Sales/Ops) to ship the email product to our waiting customers.
Responsibilities
* Auditing and taking ownership of the existing offshore codebase.
* Writing code daily (Full Stack + AI integration).
* Making high-level architectural decisions to ensure scalability.
* Iterating rapidly based on feedback from our 10 pilot customers.
Qualifications
* Builder Mindset: You are a Senior Engineer who still loves to code. You are willing to be "hands-on" rather than just managing.
* Technical Stack: Deep experience in modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js) and familiarity with AI/LLM integration.
* Product Sense: You understand that code is a means to an end. You care about user experience and solving business problems.
* Risk Appetite: You are looking for a Co-Founder journey. You understand this role involves significant equity (vesting) and lower initial salary compared to corporate roles.
* Location: Must be based in Australia or New Zealand (Melbourne preferred for occasional meetups, but not required).
