About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Ecommerce & Digital Manager to lead the global digital strategy and drive online growth across our brands.
As SDG continues to evolve its multi-brand, multi-region digital presence, you will play a key part in planning and executing future platform strategies, ensuring the business is positioned to activate current digital commerce opportunities as the market grows.
You will combine strategic vision with hands-on capability, collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to deliver measurable growth in traffic, engagement, and conversion. A Digital Marketing Assistant supports day-to-day activity under your leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create a digital roadmap that supports future expansion of ecommerce capabilities and platform readiness
- Lead SDG’s multi-brand, multi-region digital and strategy, covering SDG’s expansive digital ecosystem including brand websites, reseller websites, ecommerce portals, and paid digital channels
- Define clear priorities across US, UK, EU and ANZ balancing direct digital sales with brand engagement objectives
Ecommerce Management
- Own and drive Bankston’s emergent ecommerce performance in the US, UK, and EU, increasing traffic, engagement, and conversion
- Serve as the Shopify expert, acting as the central liaison for all teams involved, providing detailed reports on customer behaviours and optimising the sales funnel to increase conversions
- Partner with external developers and agencies to deliver high-performing site functionality
- Drive trade account onboarding and support the Sales team to increase project-driven adoption
- Future proof the digital architecture to enable expansion into additional markets and models when required
Website management
- Integrate and manage product information on non-transactional websites (SDG, Iver, TradCo, Bankston - ANZ), ensuring that all catalogue data is up to date and accurate
- Collaborate with the A&T; team and external agencies to enhance site functionalities and UX, aiming to improve the overall performance and accessibility of our websites
- Monitor and troubleshoot the websites for any issues, ensuring high standards of performance and swift resolution of any issues
- Innovate and improve website content, functionality, and user interfaces in collaboration with our digital agencies, focusing on enhancing user experience and site performance
- Implement a pre-defined SEO strategy that enhances our search engine rankings, drawing organic traffic to our sites and improving visibility for visitors
- Own the roll out of new product releases with consideration to landing pages, category pages, product page integrations
- Work with the Marketing team to develop and convey a compelling brand narrative, brand content and points of engagement across the sites
Digital Advertising
- Lead global paid digital advertising across search, social, retargeting, and display, with a emphasis on driving trade portal traffic in the US, UK, and EU
- Develop targeted campaign strategies for architects, designers, and specifiers to grow project conversion
- Manage agency relationships and internal creative resources to deliver high performing campaigns
- Continuously test and optimise spend allocation to maximise ROI
Data, Insights & Reporting
- Maintain dashboard son Whatagraph to monitor portal performance, site traffic, and campaign ROI globally
- Analyse customer pathways, attribution models, and digital behaviours to improve conversion strategies
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to connect insights directly to revenue outcomes
- Use data driven insights to shape future platform expansion and investment decisions
Digital leadership
- Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and changes in analytics platforms and identify how they impact existing programs.
- Manage and mentor a Digital Marketing Assistant
- Champion digital expertise internally, educating Sales and Marketing teams on tools, trends, and platform opportunities
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience managing global ecommerce and digital strategies across multiple brands or regions
- Proven experience with Shopify platforms
- Personal and hands on expertise in paid digital advertising, including budget management, ROI analysis, and audience targeting
- Proficiency in data tools (GA, Looker Studio, attribution modelling) to make evidence-based decisions
- Demonstrated ability to lead agencies, internal teams, and cross functional stakeholders
- Experience shaping digital roadmaps that support future expansion into new markets or platforms
- Highly independent and self-directed, capable of managing a broad, complex workload with minimal supervision
- Strategic and visionary with the ability to future-proof platforms and plan for growth
- Hands-on, data-driven, and adaptable when priorities shift
- Passionate about delivering digital excellence and measurable commercial impact
- Experience in design-led or premium brands, particularly in B2B or B2B2C environments
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP and integration best practices
- Exposure to US, EU, and UK markets and understanding of multi-region platform requirements
