Aspire Homes Australia is currently recruiting for Therapeutic Youth Workers in Newcastle, Central Coast district. This is an exciting opportunity to provide trauma‐informed therapeutic care for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity. We aim to be a leading IPA provider through our skilled and experienced staff, home‐like environments and the development of an IPA‐specific therapeutic framework.

Essential Criteria
* Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
* Current National Criminal History Check Certificate
* First Aid Certificate (preferred)
* A valid driver's licence
* Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle
* A qualification in Human Resources sector or willingness to obtain one and/or considerable industry experience
Responsibilities
* Provide a safe and secure environment in which young people can thrive
* Support young people as they transition into and out of our care
* Support young people to achieve their living skills and Case Plan goals
* Be an advocate for the young person
* Use necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and difficult situations according to the young person's behaviour management plan
* Be available for shift work
* Have strong written and oral communication skills
* Be an effective team‐player, with the ability to work autonomously
* Undertake ongoing training as identified
Benefits and Compensation

Be remunerated according to the SCHADS award; casual base rate, super, penalty rates for evenings and weekends, and reimbursement for work‐related approved travel.

Salary: $45 - $90 per hour.
