Overview
What you'll do and who you are is described below.
This role is based at Hilton, SA, with on-site parking and requires on-call roster duties and work outside normal hours (including weekends).
Salary (Level 4 Officer):$93,438 to $100,265 per annum (FTE) plus superannuation
Participate on an on-call roster and undertake work out of normal business hours including weekends
Flexible work options (including options to work compressed hours for a 9-day fortnight)
Based at Hilton, SA, with on-site car parking
What you'll do
As our Community Safety Investigator in the Compliance department, you'll be out and about on operational patrol and be responsible for the efficient and effective management of community safety issues in West Torrens.
In this role you will undertake a variety of duties, some include:
Undertaking complex and protracted investigations and projects relating to dog attacks, harassing and nuisance animals, dogs wandering at large and unsightly properties.
Providing operational support to Community Safety Officers, undertaking investigations such as (but not limited to) tree damage, illegal dumping and litter complaints, overgrown vegetation and fire hazards.
Backfilling and providing operational support to Community Safety Parking Officers during period of staff leave and peak volume times.
As this role is community-focussed, you will promote a positive and professional image of CWT by providing friendly and professional service in a courteous and prompt manner.
Requirements of the role
Participate on an on-call roster.
Undertake regular work out of normal business hours including weekends.

If you're a dependable and motivated team player with an interpersonal style that builds trust and credibility, you'd be a great addition to our Compliance department.
You will have strong problem solving and decision-making skills as well as demonstrated experience undertaking investigations within a regulatory environment and be excited about joining a dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge and understanding of the obligations placed on Local Government in administering, educating, enforcing and achieving legislative community safety and a general understanding of regulatory services.
You will have strong documentation, record keeping and report writing skills and significant experience previously working in a compliance and/or in a customer service environment.
In accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within six months of issue) and a current Class C Driver's Licence will be required as part of the recruitment process.
