Role details
Position: Second In Charge Educator for Bulli Fun Club and OSHC service at Bulli Public School.
This is a permanent role to work during Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care, Monday to Friday (30 hours per week).
The service has a dedicated, homely space within the school with strong connections to families, children and the local community, with a focus on inclusion of all children.
Responsibilities
Provide quality care and education to school-aged children while incorporating your ideas and expertise to create a fun-filled environment.
Build respectful, long-lasting relationships with parents, carers and fellow educators.
Contribute your ideas to programmed activities and work with the Director to plan experiences for children.
Ensure the service complies with Big Fat Smile policies and procedures, the National Quality Framework, and Child Protection Legislation, working closely with the Director.
What you need to succeed
A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) for paid work.
Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification (desirable).
Experience as a support worker, SLSO, OOSH Educator / 2IC, or engagement with school-aged children.
Strong communication skills with families and the community.
Commitment to work health and safety
Understanding and experience in implementing educational programs and leadership within the centre as the Educational Leader.
