Preventive Maintenance Coordinator
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Preventive Maintenance Coordinator at our Coal Handling Preparation Plant in Mount Thorley Warkworth, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain short and long-term maintenance forecasts to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively;
* Maintain effective use of preventative maintenance strategies to identify potential issues before they become major problems;
* Plan labor, materials, external services, and equipment for maintenance tasks to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs;
* Liaise effectively with contractors to ensure work is scheduled correctly and efficiently;
* Control costs through effective planning/scheduling of available resources to drive business efficiency;
* Drive performance through chairing weekly meetings to review progress and discuss ongoing challenges;
Requirements:
* Relevant trade or diploma qualifications with a mechanical or electrical focus, preferably in a coal handling preparation plant or heavy industry environment;
* Demonstrated high-level planning/scheduling experience in a similar role within a coal handling preparation plant or heavy industry environment;
* Drive and focus on continuous improvement to enhance overall business performance;
* High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all aspects of work;
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders;
