The Lifestyle Assistant Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our team as a Lifestyle Assistant. This part-time/full-time position is pivotal to the wellbeing and engagement of our residents and requires someone who can 'bring to life' our resident-centric lifestyle programs at our Infinite Care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, implement, and roll out engaging lifestyle programs that cater to the social, religious, and cultural requirements of each resident.
* Develop and assist in delivering lifestyle programs with the supervision of our Lifestyle Coordinator.
* Organize activities (internal and external to the facility) to enhance the overall home environment for our residents.
* Provide input during resident care assessments to create individualized, holistic, and resident-centric programs.
* Assist with facility communications and coordinate celebrations for residents, families, and staff.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, facility team members, volunteers, and local community groups.
* Manage and document risk for the facility, ensuring a commitment to continuous improvements.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent additional certifications or vocational training.
* 1 year's experience in a similar role, preferably in aged care.
* Innate empathy for our residents and a commitment to continually improving the quality of care and the social environment provided to them.
* Ability to think critically and creatively.
* Proficient in IT and tech.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A confident team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* A thoughtful, compassionate, and collaborative approach with a creative flair.
* Valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to apply).
