Are you a strategic sales powerhouse with a deep black book of direct brand relationships?
News Australia is looking for a high-impact Client Partner to join our Melbourne Direct Sales team.
Based in our vibrant Southbank office, you will be the driving force behind the growth of our most valued direct client relationships. You won't just be selling space; you'll be architecting integrated media solutions across Australia's most trusted brands, including The Australian, Herald Sun, news.com.au, and Vogue Australia.
As a Client Partner, you are a consultant and a closer. You will take ownership of a high-value portfolio, identifying business challenges for direct advertisers and solving them through our world‐class digital, print, and data‐led ecosystem.
* Lead the end-to-end sales strategy for major direct accounts, ensuring you act as a trusted advisor who understands their unique business drivers.
* Drive aggressive growth across our diverse portfolio, identifying cross-platform opportunities that maximize client ROI and News Corp revenue.
* Partner with our internal creative and data teams to build bespoke, multi-channel campaigns that tell a brand's story with precision and power.
* Represent our brands with authority in the Melbourne market, staying ahead of trends and competitor movements to maintain our best-in-market positioning.
* From proactive prospecting and consultative selling to wrap‐up reporting and renewal—you own the relationship.
Who are you?
* We are looking for a commercially minded professional who thrives in a high-performing, fast-paced trading environment.
* You possess at least 5 years of experience in media sales, with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding high-level revenue targets.
* You have a deep understanding of the direct advertiser landscape and the ability to navigate complex business structures to reach key decision-makers.
* You don't just take orders; you look at issues from multiple angles to uncover underlying root causes and deliver strategic value.
* You are a master of the pitch, capable of delivering multi-mode communications that resonate with diverse audiences, from Marketing Managers to CEOs.
* You are comfortable utilizing CRMs (like Salesforce) and data insights to inform your strategy and prove the value of your campaigns.
