About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at CC Global Plumbing as a full-time Excavator Operator based in Bendigo, VIC. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the execution of a variety of construction projects, ensuring efficient and protected operation of excavation equipment to meet project requirements and deadlines.
What you'll be doing
1. Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to perform earthmoving, digging, and loading tasks on construction sites
2. Read and interpret site plans, technical drawings, and specifications to carry out excavation work
3. Perform pre-start checks, daily maintenance, and minor repairs on excavation equipment
4. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
5. Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate and prioritise tasks effectively
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and procedures
What we're looking for
1. Formal training and/or certification in operating excavators and other construction equipment
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Excavator Operator in a construction environment
3. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret site plans and technical drawings
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a team
