About the Role
We are looking for 2 Disability Support Workers for part‐time opportunities at our group home in Burwood. You will provide active support and engage with 5 female residents who have complex support needs and behaviours of concern. Some manual handling will be required. You will also participate in daily bus runs, taking residents out to and picking them up from day placements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality direct support to service users in line with their support needs, programme and all support plans including the Individual Plan.
- Increase service users' skills through independence, personal growth and development via active support and enhanced participation in the community.
- Implement development programs and identify and support learning opportunities for service users.
- Assist in the delivery of programs that facilitate service users' development of social networks and inclusion in community activities.
- Actively provide residents with a night time routine and support as required.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent disability‐related qualification.
- Current Senior First Aid (Level 2) certificate.
- Current unrestricted driver licence.
- Commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.
- Ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and to support their Individual Personal Plan.
- Experience in working with people with disability, including those with complex needs.
Roster and Requirement
24/7 roster across group home. Must hold required COVID‐19 vaccination before offer of employment.
