**Canberra Pet Care - Animal Attendant/Receptionist**
We’re hot on the trail in finding our newest team member at Canberra Pet Care - and it could be you! Our team members are compassionate caregivers to our four-legged friends and exceptional communicators to their paw-rents. We are committed in creating safe, fun spaces for not only the pets but our staff too!
Hours vary between 7am & 6pm, including weekends and holidays. We're looking for individuals who love people as much as they do pets! This role will sit across our office and kennels. Find yourself in a dynamic and fast paced role, building relationships with our clients and their fur-family members.
Full-time role, 38 hours per week.
About the Role
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Handling incoming calls and other communications
- Greeting clients and visitors as needed
- Recording information as needed
- Provision of food and water for pets in care
- Health checks and general animal husbandry
- Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
- Providing enrichment through play and scheduled activities
- Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety
- Building and maintaining rapport with our pet owners through feedback and transparency
- Creating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photos
**Key requirements**:
- Must be available on weekends, public holidays and school holiday periods
- Must be driven and have a strong work ethic as the role can be challenging and physical
- Must be attentive and have a great attention to detail
- Must work well in a team setting
- Must be able to follow routines, policies and procedures
- Must be comfortable with dealing with clients at check in and check out
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred and/or reception, office experience
