Hoban Recruitment is partnering with a well-established national organisation to recruit a Yard Team Member for their Geelong site. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised yard, and is looking for long-term, stable employment with development opportunities.
This role operates within an auction cycle environment, offering a steady pace of work with natural peaks and quieter periods-ideal for someone who prefers consistency over high-pressure, fast-paced settings. About the role As part of the Yard team, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day yard operations, equipment handling, and customer interactions.
Your responsibilities will include: Receiving, checking in/out, and positioning equipment within the yard Operating a forklift to load and unload equipment
Assisting with equipment setup, basic assembly, inspections, and general yard upkeep Conducting basic checks such as fuel and fluid levels Supporting auction days with signage, layout, and presentation
Providing friendly, professional service to customers on site and via phone Using handheld devices and systems to support yard operations This is a practical, physical role with the majority of time spent working outdoors .
What we're looking for We're keen to hear from candidates who bring: Valid forklift licence (essential)
Current driver's licence Experience working in yard, construction, transport, equipment, or outdoor environments A strong work ethic and reliable long-term employment history
Comfort using basic technology and handheld systems A safety-focused, team-oriented attitude Additional tickets or licences are advantageous but not essential.
Hours & conditions Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week) Overtime available, paid at double time
