Onsite Support Engineer (Level 1.5) - Short-Term Contract

About the Role
We are seeking an Onsite Support Engineer to provide face-to-face IT support in a professional corporate environment. This role is ideal for a customer‐focused IT support professional who enjoys direct end‐user interaction and thrives in a walk‐up support setting.
You will be the first point of contact for users requiring hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 support, ensuring a high level of service and timely issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide walk-up IT support services to end users during standard business hours
* Deliver hands‐on hardware and software troubleshooting
* Assist users with how‐to queries and general IT support questions
* Manage password resets, account lockouts, and access issues
* Support Microsoft 365 applications, including:
o Outlook & Exchange
o SharePoint
o Office applications
o M365 licensing checks and user provisioning
* Use ServiceNow (or similar) for ticket logging, updates, and resolution tracking
* Follow documented incident resolution and escalation procedures
* Maintain ownership of support tickets until resolved or properly escalated
* Ensure the IT asset register remains accurate and up to date
* Deliver a high level of customer service, treating every user interaction as a priority
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience in Level 1 / Level 1.5 IT Support roles
* Strong face‐to‐face customer service skills
* Solid troubleshooting experience with:
o Windows devices
o Laptops, desktops, and peripherals
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
* Understanding of:
o Exchange Online mailbox management
o SharePoint access and permissions
o Microsoft 365 licensing and user account management
* Experience using an ITSM tool such as ServiceNow
* Ability to follow processes and elevate issues appropriately
