Overview
The Digital Transformation Agency is hiring User Researchers for its Digital Sourcing branch to help build a better BuyICT.gov.au and marketplace experience.
The User Researchers will collaborate with other researchers to conduct studies that help understand user needs, behaviours, and preferences to inform product and service design and development.
Candidates should hold qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience, 4+ years of experience conducting user research, robust analytical skills, and a passion for user-centred design.
Responsibilities
Planning and conducting user research studies using appropriate methods, including interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research
Analyzing research data and reporting findings to the product team and stakeholders
Collaborating with stakeholders to inform the design and development of products and services
Helping to create and maintain a user-centred design process
Understanding of government procurement practices and working in an Agile team is helpful but not essential.

Ability and proven experience in planning, designing, and conducting user research studies, including interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research
Experience in analysing research data and report findings to the product team and stakeholders
Proven track record in collaborating with stakeholders to inform the design and development of products and services within the government industry.
