Job Summary
As the Chef for our Indian Gastro Pub, you will oversee the kitchen operations and ensure the highest quality of food is served to our guests. You will work closely with the management team to develop and execute a menu that reflects the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
* Develop and maintain a menu that showcases traditional and modern Indian dishes
* Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to established standards and recipes
* Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures
* Monitor food inventory and place orders to maintain adequate supplies
* Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events and promotions
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations
* Continuously seek ways to improve and innovate the menu and kitchen operations
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant or gastro pub
* Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
* Solid leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work in a rapid‐paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Contract Details
This is a full‐time position, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week. The Chef will report to the General Manager and work closely with the management team to ensure the success of the restaurant. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
