The People Business Partner (People BP) in Malaysia plays a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business objectives. This is a highly autonomous role requiring a proactive, execution-driven individual who can independently manage HR processes while serving as a trusted advisor to local leadership. The role is embedded within the global People BP unit and contributes to the standardization and globalization of HR practices across Billennium.

Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Integration


• Own the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring a structured and engaging process that includes buddy assignment, system access, and cultural orientation


• Facilitate early-stage meetings to introduce company structure, roles (Delivery Manager, People Manager), and tools (Confluence, Jira, Primetric, TalentBoost)


• Coordinate with global People BPs to ensure consistency and support during onboarding, including potential on-site support from Poland-based People BP.

Performance Management & Developent


• Lead the Work Development Plan process, enabling employees to define and track goals aligned with business priorities and personal growth.


• Facilitate Individual Development Interviews to help employees assess strengths, identify development areas, and create actionable growth plans


• Support managers in preparing for performance reviews, ensuring quality feedback and alignment with organizational standards.

Performance Improvement


• Manage the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process, including diagnostics, goal setting, and progress tracking in collaboration with supervisors and technical leads.


• Provide coaching and support to employees and managers throughout the PIP cycle, ensuring clarity, fairness, and actionable outcomes.


• Promote leadership development, performance preparedness, and alignment with organizational values through structured learning paths.


• Support the Learning and Development unit with organizing local trainings and guiding global managers with local standards and practices.

Requirements:


• Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a business partner or HR role.


• Proven experience working in a global or regional HR environment, preferably within the tech or professional services industry.


• Demonstrated success in driving HR initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement, and leadership development.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.


• High level of cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse, cross-functional teams.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data to drive decisions.


• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• Knowledge of HR systems and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
