As Associate Professor in Biochemical Pharmacology, you'll be part of our Biomedical Science academic team, shaping and delivering engaging learning across biochemistry, medical biochemistry and advanced pharmacology. You'll contribute to high‐quality teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while building your research profile and professional expertise in ways that align with the School's priorities and real‐world impact.
* lead a strong research program, securing competitive funding, guiding projects and mentoring emerging researchers, with impact recognised across Australia and beyond;
* deliver high‐quality, engaging learning through innovative curriculum and teaching, inspiring students and supporting colleagues; and
* build meaningful partnerships with industry, community and academic collaborators, while contributing to a positive, collaborative culture and the ongoing growth of the School and University.

You will possess:
* A doctoral qualification in a relevant field, with extensive experience as an academic leader.
* A strong contribution to the growth and direction of your discipline, with clear evidence of impact.
* A focused and high performing research program, with sustained outputs, external recognition, successful HDR supervision and demonstrated impact.
* Proven research leadership, including mentoring early career researchers, strengthening research culture and contributing to national discipline panels or assessment activities.
* A track record of excellent teaching and leadership in learning and teaching, creating engaging, research informed experiences that support student success and drive continuous improvement.
* Leadership qualities that foster a positive, inclusive and high performing academic environment for both staff and students.
* Strong experience in academic administration within a university setting.
* The ability to build and sustain meaningful partnerships across regional, national and international communities that create value for students, the University and the wider community.
* Postgraduate qualifications in higher education.
* Recognition for excellence in learning and teaching and/or research.
