What you can expect in a day in the role:
Under the supervision of the head chef, you will be working in a fast-paced kitchen assisting with the following:
Washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitary
Assisting chefs by chopping, peeling, or preparing ingredients
Unpacking and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels.
Running errands in the kitchen, helping with plating dishes, or carrying out other tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
What you'll bring to the role
Along with a positive can-do attitude, solid communication skills and willingness to learn you will also have:
Ability to work under pressure
Robust attention to detail
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Adaptable and adaptable with excellent time management skills
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
