We are seeking a Senior Associate Hydrologist/Surface Water Engineer to join our Hydrogeology and Hydrology Technical Discipline team in SLR Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering surface water engineering projects to a broad range of clients across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities
* Delivering surface water engineering projects to a broad range of clients across multiple sectors.
* Undertaking work that involves the application of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software.
* Working alongside staff developing models and preparing quality reports for internal and external clients on time and within set budgets.
* Developing, facilitating and enhancing relationships between our internal and external clients and SLR team members.
* Contributing to winning in the development of prospects into proposals, developing methodologies and identifying the value proposition to assist clients to meet their deadlines.
* Providing advice and assistance to internal and external clients, team members and Project Managers on projects regarding best principles and practices.
Requirements
* Appropriate Engineering tertiary qualification and relevant industry experience.
* Extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, particularly application of two-dimensional hydraulic modelling (TUFLOW).
* Experience in hydrological modelling and assessments (DRAINS, RORB, WBNM and XP RAFTS) and understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff and relevant guidelines and standards.
* Knowledge and experience of associated areas of surface water engineering would be highly regarded such as stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water quality assessment, streamflow assessments and flood risk analysis.
* Experience in the assessment of and input into design of water related structures e.g. dams, levees and diversions.
* Knowledge or experience in MUSIC or GoldSim modelling would also be highly regarded but is not essential.
* Experience in EIS/EA amendment approvals would be highly regarded.
* Excellent communication skills and technical report writing.
* Demonstrated experience managing projects throughout the project lifecycle.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and ability to work effectively within a team.
* A strong track record in building, nurturing and maintaining ongoing client relationships.
* Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license.
