About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral health services to patients. You will work alongside dental clinicians to provide high-quality care, while also taking on administrative duties such as maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting Patient Care: Assist dental clinicians with procedures, ensuring patients receive top-notch treatment.
* Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records, schedule appointments, and manage wait lists.
* Oral Health Promotion: Contribute to the delivery of education and awareness activities to promote good oral health.
Requirements
* A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience is required. A Certificate IV in Dental Assisting is preferred for Grade 2 positions.
* A Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or demonstrated ability to work towards this qualification is necessary.
* You must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build strong relationships with colleagues and patients.
* Proven experience in infection control, instrument reprocessing, and dental assisting is essential.
* You should be able to plan your work efficiently, manage priorities, use initiative, and solve problems effectively.
* Familiarity with computer systems, including dental patient administration and management software (e.g., Titanium), is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also essential.
* A Class C driver's license and willingness to travel for work purposes are necessary.
