Maintenance Supervisor – Full‐time role to support the maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
* Assist in supervising a team of two Maintenance Officers.
* Provide hands‐on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
* Supervise and support key service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
* Always ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
* Assist with stock control and supplier coordination to maintain efficient operations.
* Support in preparing quotes and scheduling maintenance tasks, including minor Capex works.
* Work closely with the Hotel Manager to support recruitment and development of the Maintenance team.
Shift Details
* Monday to Friday
* 6:30 am start time (flexible for the right candidate)
* Afterhours caretaker on site – weekend/afterhours calls may be required on an ad‐hoc basis
Qualifications
* Previous hands‐on maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
* Experience supervising or supporting team members within a maintenance team.
* Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
* A relevant trade or building qualification will be highly regarded.
* Experience liaising and coordinating with contractors.
* Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and Word documents).
* A passion for delivering exceptional, proactive service.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation.
