It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers. Everyday Business Banking supports the full spectrum of customers’ cash management needs from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates, as well as helping the to accept payments through in-person and ecommerce solutions. The Deposit and Transactions team is accountable for the development and management of all cash management accounts and their associated customer experiences across these segments. The Pricing Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead is accountable for defining and executing the pricing strategy, optimising pricing performance, managing the pricing deals desk, and maintaining robust processes, controls, and governance. Operating at the executive manager level within the Deposits and Transactions Crew, this role sets the strategic vision and roadmap for the Pricing CoE in partnership with the Crew Lead and other key business stakeholders. The Pricing CoE plays a critical role in helping the organisation attract and retain customers through value-based pricing that is grounded in insights, disciplined governance, and commercial acumen. The CoE ensures effective prioritisation of initiatives in alignment with Group-wide objectives and enables flexible deployment of specialist pricing capability (“flow-to-work”) across squads to deliver business and customer outcomes. Do work that matters General CoE responsibilities Define the CoE’s overall purpose, scope, and strategic direction, ensuring capacity and capability are aligned to deliver on objectives. Own the CoE’s vision for performance, customer experience, products, and services. Partner with business stakeholders to align on delivery priorities and progress, and escalate risks, issues, or decisions (RIDs) required to achieve outcomes. Be accountable for delivering a consistent and high-quality customer experience across all CoE activities. Oversee and manage risks, compliance obligations, and governance related to the CoE’s products and deliverables. Role model the organisation’s culture, leadership principles, and growth mindset to foster collaboration and continuous improvement. Pricing–specific responsibilities Identify and deliver strategic pricing initiatives that drive growth, strengthen the risk profile, and enhance the customer experience across Deposits & Transactions products. Lead the identification of margin management and pricing optimisation opportunities, collaborating closely with product and finance teams to execute effectively. Oversee and lead the Customer Pricing Deals Desk Team for Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) and Business Banking (BB) customers across all Everyday Business Banking (EBB) and Payments products. Partner with key stakeholders to support product strategy and major pricing transformation initiatives, including new scheme fee implementations, IBP, SREP, Simplify Decommission, and QKR relaunch programs. Be accountable for pricing controls and governance, including ownership of PRADA and FIRM frameworks for EBB products. Enhance and develop pricing processes for current and new EBB products. Development of a strategic solution for a control gap in recording and governance of Non-Standard Agreements We are looking for people who have: Strategic thinking and leadership skills – Ability to define vision, set direction, and lead a Centre of Excellence to deliver on strategic objectives. Strong commercial acumen – Deep understanding of pricing strategies, margin management, and financial impacts on business performance. Analytical and problem-solving capability – Skilled in identifying optimisation opportunities and leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making. Stakeholder management expertise – Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver outcomes. Governance and risk management experience – Knowledge of compliance frameworks and ability to maintain robust controls and governance processes. Excellent communication and influencing skills – Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and influence decisions at executive levels. Experience in pricing transformation initiatives – Familiarity with implementing pricing models, schemes, and large-scale change programs. 7 years’ experience in financial services.
