Attending to the needs of the guest and of the Hotel whilst ensuring rooms are serviced to the required standard.

Employer looking to fill roles in:

* Preston
* Moonee Ponds
* North Melbourne

* South Yarra
* Torquay
* Yarra Glen
* Docklands

Role Outline:

1. Relationships
2. Actioning guest requests promptly
3. Ensuring security and care of guest belongings and hotel property
4. Completing allocated rooms within the allocated time
5. Replenishing and controlling guest supplies and amenities including bathroom amenities, mini bar, towels and linen
6. Preparing each room to the required standard
7. Rotating and replacing room items in accordance with set requirements such as mattress protectors, bedspreads, and pillows
8. Reporting missing items from guest rooms e.g kettle, cups, glasses, irons, hangers
9. Presenting guest rooms as per Hotel standard
10. Providing buddy training when directed by the manager/supervisor
11. Following company policies and procedure manuals
12. Reporting maintenance required in rooms

Safety:

1. Maintain safe and hygienic work practices
2. Report any hazards, accidents/incidents or related matters to Housekeeping Supervisor
3. Participate in consultation / communication regarding OH&S issues and provide feedback

General:

1. Attending all training as required by the Hotel
2. Adhering to Hotel direction and following all Hotel policies and procedures
3. Declaring all lost property and following lost property procedures
4. Attending morning briefings and periodic Housekeeping meetings
5. Reading and actioning daily worksheet
6. Recording room status; do not disturb rooms, room moves and room changes
7. Maintaining all equipment such as trolleys, vacuums, and chemical bottles
8. Attending work punctually
9. Notifying Manager of any required changes to roster with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice
10. Following Hotel fire and safety procedures
11. Maintaining the required standard of personal cleanliness, appearance and conduct as determined by the Hotel
12. Performing other duties as directed by the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor
