About The Team
The electronic Child and Youth Mental Health Service (eCYMHS) provides a specialist paediatric telepsychiatry network to specific rural and remote CYMHS clinics across Queensland. eCYMHS provides access to specialist mental health services for children, adolescents, and their families as close to home as practicable. In addition to telepsychiatry and outreach clinics, eCYMHS supports community capacity by providing consultation liaison, case-based education and other professional development activities to a range of regional stakeholders (such as General Practitioners, schools, Government and other Non-Government Organisations). eCYMHS also works in partnership with applicable Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) to deliver the Queensland contribution to headspace. This role works alongside the HHS mental health, alcohol and other drug (MHAOD) clinicians who provide consultation liaison and clinical in reach services to young people aged 12-25yrs accessing dedicated headspace centres in regional Queensland.
About The Role
This position will provide child and adolescent psychiatry services as Senior Medical Officer to eCYMHS, though you may be required to undertake other temporary duties as directed by the Medical Director CYMHS, CHQ HHS. You will therefore be expected to have the knowledge and skills to safely provide a broad range of high level professional and expert clinical psychiatric services to optimise assessment and treatment of children/adolescents and their families accessing CYMHS services throughout Queensland. Alternative part-time hours may be negotiated with the Medical Director CYMHS.
