Clarke Energy is one of the fastest growing power generating companies in the South Pacific and specialises in gas engine power stations and combined heat and power technology. This dynamic business with global reach and a local focus, provides customer focused solutions ranging from the supply of an engine, through to turn-key installation of multi-engine power plants and works with customers across diverse sectors including mining, water, agriculture, oil and gas, manufacturing and cogeneration for commercial buildings.

A newly created role has emerged for a standalone Human Resources Manager to provide comprehensive and hands on HR support and advice to the leadership team in the Australian business unit. Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Commercial Director, with support from the Group HR Director (UK based), key responsibilities include:

* leading and managing recruitment activity;
* supporting the leadership team in the understanding and implementation of localised HR policies and procedures;
* providing relevant and timely advice on staff remuneration, benefits and promotions, performance management and management of disciplinary and grievance issues;
* managing and maintaining the HRIS (Workday);
* supporting the leadership team with the annual performance review process.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified HR professionals with broad/generalist experience across the HR portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the energy sector and possess strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build and maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels across the business. As the local custodian of the HR function, a proactive attitude, high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and a natural coaching style to support the development of capability among staff and leaders will be critical for success in the role. Previous experience working with Workday (or a comparable system) will be highly regarded.
