About the Role:As a Mine Surveyor at Victory Minerals, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of our underground mining operations. You will work closely with our Mine Planning Superintendent to monitor, measure, and model development and stoping excavations, ensuring mine designs meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
Survey Control & Compliance:Providing accurate survey control for mining operations and ensuring adherence to statutory and safety requirements.
Data Management & Reporting:Compiling and maintaining up-to-date spatial data, producing accurate maps, models, and reports for mine planning and operations teams.
Monitoring Operations:Using advanced tools like Leica hardware and UAVs to monitor excavation progress, geotechnical conditions, and the status of critical mine structures.
Collaboration:Working with a range of stakeholders to support operational planning, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives.
What You Bring:We are looking for someone with a strong background in underground hard rock mining and surveying, and the drive to help us keep advancing our operations. Ideal candidates will have:
Degree in Surveying or equivalent qualification.
2–5 years of experience in underground mine surveying.
Proficiency with Deswik, Maptek Pointmodeller, Pix4D, and Leica Hardware (TS15, TS16).
Experience with UAV photogrammetry and spatial data management.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
National Driver's License (manual).
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise, multitask, and maintain calm under pressure.
Experience with Elios 3 UAV or similar.
Experience in complex geological environments.
