Job Description
What's the role?
As Senior Manager, Vulnerability Strategy, you help shape and embed the enterprise direction for how Westpac identifies, understands and responds to customer vulnerability.
This role supports the development of the Group's vulnerability strategy, standards and priorities, drawing on emerging social issues, data, customer voice and industry insight to enable consistent, inclusive and effective outcomes for customers who require extra care. You will design and deliver initiatives that address key pain points for customers experiencing vulnerability and create positive social impact, while strengthening enterprise standards, governance and monitoring to ensure sustainable outcomes at scale.
This role is part of our Mob Way program, a culturally grounded pathway unlocking senior opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders.

What do I need?
* Strong capability in Lean Six Sigma and/or project management, with the ability to apply strategic thinking, lead and deliver complex initiatives using structured improvement approaches, translating ideas into tangible outcomes that genuinely improve customer experiences.
* Collaborative influencing skills – engages confidently across teams and senior stakeholders, building trust, encouraging cooperation, experimentation and thoughtful risk-taking to drive change.
* Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills – demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, balancing business needs, regulatory requirements and community expectations.
* Data-led problem solving – critical and innovative thinking, drawing on data, insights and voice of customer to understand issues, identify opportunities and shape practical, customer-centred solutions.
* Clear and compelling communication skills – communicates complex ideas simply and effectively, combining data-driven insights with storytelling to influence decisions and bring customer experiences to life.
