At Are Media, you'll be in the office four days a week, with one day to work from home. About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join Are Media's dynamic Content team as a permanent part-time Stylist, specifically working on the iconic Better Homes and Gardens brand. You'll play a crucial role in creating visually stunning home styling and lifestyle content that inspires Australian families to transform their living spaces. You'll be responsible for curating and styling interiors, seasonal decorating, entertaining setups, and lifestyle content. Duties Style and coordinate home interior shoots, seasonal decorating features, and lifestyle content for Better Homes and Gardens magazine and digital platforms Collaborate with photographers, editors, and creative directors to develop compelling visual narratives that align with the Better Homes and Gardens brand aesthetic Source, select, and organize homewares, furniture, plants, and decorative accessories from various suppliers, PR agencies, and retail partners Create styled vignettes for entertaining, seasonal celebrations, and everyday living that resonate with Australian families Maintain detailed records of borrowed items, returns, and styling credits for all Better Homes and Gardens content Research and identify emerging home décor trends, seasonal themes, and styling concepts relevant to the Australian home market Prepare mood boards and styling concepts for editorial meetings and Better Homes and Gardens content planning sessions Skills and experience Minimum 2-3 years of professional styling experience in interiors, home styling, or lifestyle content creation Strong understanding of interior design principles, colour coordination, and spatial composition Experience styling homes, room sets, or retail displays with keen eye for detail and visual appeal Proven ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple home styling projects simultaneously Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in tracking homewares inventory and returns Understanding of photography principles and how interior styling translates on camera Are Media is a proud member of Media Diversity Australia, a not-for-profit organisation working towards a media landscape that looks and sounds like Australia.
