Role Overview
As a Domestic Cook, you will play an important role in preparing, cooking and serving varied and nutritious meals for boarding students and staff. Working with the Household Manager and kitchen team, you'll assist with menu planning, food preparation and catering for daily meals and special events while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation. This role supports the wellbeing of boarding students by ensuring meals are prepared with care, quality and attention to individual needs, contributing to a positive and supportive boarding environment.
Qualifications & Experience
You will bring experience working in a commercial kitchen, catering environment or similar setting, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. A current Food Handling Certificate is required, and a relevant catering or cookery qualification will be highly regarded. You will be organised, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage meal preparation for large groups.
