Cape York Solutions is seeking a driven and capable Mayi Market Coordinator to lead the operations of Mayi Market—an innovative social initiative that delivers healthy, affordable food to Cape York.

Our work spans education, employment, health, culture, and economic development across 10 entities. At the heart of everything we do is the Pama Futures Agenda—a bold reform vision co-designed by the people of Cape York for their own communities and futures.
About the Role
Mayi Market is a vital initiative of CYS, providing cost-effective, nutritious food to remote Cape York communities. As the Mayi Market Coordinator, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of this service—from supplier management and logistics to customer experience and digital platforms.
You will:
* Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.
* Manage website updates, inventory, orders, and payments.
* Coordinate transport logistics, delivery schedules, and truck maintenance.
* Oversee daily business operations, including financial transactions using Xero.
* Monitor data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
* Work closely with the Cape Operations and Innovation teams to reduce costs and waste.
This is a hands-on role that blends business coordination, logistics, and social impact—ideal for someone with a passion for innovation, community, and practical problem-solving.
About You
You are a proactive and capable professional who:
* Has experience in customer service, procurement, and logistics.
* Understands digital platforms (preferably WordPress/WooCommerce).
* Communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Works well independently and thrives in dynamic, remote environments.
* Is organised, analytical, and results-oriented.
* Has a current Driver’s Licence, Blue Card, and the ability to pass a Police Check.
Desirable:
* Experience with Xero, WordPress, or remote service delivery.
* Qualifications in business, logistics, or a related field.
